I guess how you view the weather depends on where you live. The people on the Atlantic coast are all worried about the approaching storm - either hurricane or tropical storm. Down here in the hill country, we are wishing something like that would come this way just to create some rain.

I went to the permit office earlier this week and their computer system was down. It was amazing that no one in the office knew how to accomplish anything without the system online. It seems like someone needs a Plan B or something. No one knew how to do anything by hand and enter it later into the system. After about an hour of waiting, I decided to get something accomplished that didn't need a computer.
Recording
The weather forecast for this summer could almost have been a recording -- hot and dry!! It looks like at least another week of temperatures over a hundred. I am just hoping that it will start to cool down after Labor Day.
